Doli Dwt is proud to announce the arrival of our long-awaited Welsh Lady peg dolls. They are the ultimate Welsh gifts for someone who is a lover of this beautiful country which is known for its’ Celtic roots, stunning coastlines and green valleys.

My Welsh lady dolls are decorated in traditional Welsh Costumes featuring lots of well-researched details. They are also baring the special Welsh words “Hiraeth” or “Cwtch”.

Each of these peg dolls has gone through my extensive creative process. First they are hand drawn, then I wood-burn all the lined details, before finally colouring them. The colouring is done with a mixture of the highest quality of coloured pencils, watercolour and acrylic paint. This technique enhances the gentle grain of the beech wood that the peg dolls are turned from.
