The long-awaited Cariad Welsh dolls are finally here! She completes the Welsh lady collection.

Cariad means “sweetheart” or “darling” and is a tender term of affection. This beautiful Welsh Doll is the perfect welsh gift for someone who you want to send a whole lot of love to.

My Welsh lady dolls are packed with lots of well-researched details:

The Cariad Welsh Dolls are the glamorous ladies of the trio and are decorated in a traditional Welsh Costume. She is wearing a black woollen skirt  woven with white vertical stripes and a short woollen jacket with cuffed sleeves. Her simple white apron is edged with red ribbon, and has a small embroidered daffodil (the emblem of Wales) to one side. On her head she is wearing a cockle-style Welsh hat, with a lace-edged mob cap gently peeping out from underneath. She is wearing a black, tasselled shawl that is decorated with a black, white and red paisley design.

Her face has my signature style of adorable little rosy cheeks and happily closed eyes. Beautiful woodgrain markings are visible on her dress and face.

She stands at approx 9cm tall, and is approximately 4cm across at her widest part.
