Coronavirus COVID-19 Policy

Doli Dwt has always been committed to providing you with beautiful, hand made, unique gifts for your nearest and dearest. With a few adaptions to how my online business is run, I hope to be able to continue to provide the products and service that you’ve all come to know and expect from me, in a safe manner, during these uncertain times faced by us all.

As of 24th March 2020, UK Government Guidance states:

“Online retail is still open and encouraged and postal and delivery services will run as normal,” and that “Retailers will still be able to take online orders and deliver items to your home.”


My dolls are all produced by myself here in my home studio. Hygiene, particularly hand washing, has always been a crucial part of making my dolls to ensure that the colours remain pure. The highly-pigmented pencils I use often transfer to my hands, and to avoid carrying the colour to other parts of the dolls or marking them, hand washing has always been essential.  In addition to this, I am currently using antibacterial hand gel routinely throughout my working day, and cleaning my desk area with antibacterial wipes at the start and end of each session, and before packing parcels.


As has always been the case, I can send your order to any UK address of your choice, and include a personal message. Just enter the delivery address and any note you would like added during the checkout process. Shipping straight to your recipient assists and supports social distancing and is ideal for sending gifts and parcels to those in isolation.

All my postage is purchased online through Click and Drop, this allows most of my parcels to be dropped straight in to my local post box, thus minimising time/handling at the post office. This is safer for myself, post office staff and you.

Postage of Personalised Commissions:
On 09/3/21, I reinstated “signed for” postage for personalised peg doll orders to ensure your one-off commissions get to you safely. If you’d prefer alternative provision, please advise me of this at time of ordering.

As Signed For parcels need to be processed at the Post Office, I will cease posting on an ad-hoc basis, and will post once a week (usually on a Friday) to avoid unessential travel/contact with others.

Postage of purchases from my web shop:

  1. Items that fit in my standard padded envelopes are continuing to be dropped in the local post box and sent by 2nd Class standard mail services.
  2. Larger parcels are being taken to the local post office, with minimal contact for myself and the post office staff. As per Signed for Parcels above, these will be posted once a week.
  3. All postage for web shop purchases will be second class to keep costs as affordable as possible at present.

As we are all too aware, the situation and government guidelines regarding COVID-19  are changing regularly. As such we will review and update this policy in line with any changes as required.
