Website Privacy Policy

This privacy policy sets out how Doli Dwt uses and protects any information that you give Doli Dwt when you use this website.

Doli Dwt is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

Doli Dwt may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy was originally effective from (05/08/2017) and has been reviewed and updated as necessary (19/7/19).

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

When you visit our website, we may process data about your use of the site (this is technically called “usage” data”). This would include information such as what pages you visit, how long you spend on the site, how you got to our website ( e.g., through a link somewhere else, such as link from our Etsy shop or Social media) – or how often you visit our website. Our website platform is WordPress hosted by 1&1 IONOS Internet, and our website shop is powered by Woocommerce.  We currently have Woocommerce Google Analytics intergration analytic software or plug-ins attached to the website. This gathers non personally identifying information (usage data).
You can read the Privacy policy from WordPress & Woocommerce here: https://automattic.com/privacy/
And the privacy policy from 1&1 IONOS here: https://www.ionos.co.uk/terms-gtc/terms-privacy/

Payments are processed through PayPal, therefore at no time do we view, receive or store any financial details (including debit and credit card details) of any customer.

You can read Paypal’s own privacy policy here: https://www.paypal.com/en/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full

How we use cookies

A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.

We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyse data about webpage traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system. We use Google Analytics and WordPress for this analysis.

Overall, cookies help us provide you with a better website by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us.

You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. This may prevent you from taking full advantage of the website.

Links to other websites

Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.

Controlling your personal information

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties, unless we are required by law to do so (see below: How long do we keep data?)

Doli Dwt will never send you bulk or unsolicited emails, commonly known as Spam.

How long do we keep data?

All data from orders placed through our website (using Woocommerce and PayPal) are protected within GDPR rules by Woocommerce and PayPal themselves.

We are required to keep details of sales etc – which might include your name and address, and sometimes your email address. This is a requirement – should we need to submit information to HMRC. But like everything else we do – that information is kept safe and secure and accessed only by Doli Dwt staff.

Your Rights

Data Protection legislation is in place to help protect your personal information – and give you control over how it is used. It gives you rights associated with your data, the main ones are listed below. They won’t always apply in every circumstance – but we will explain it to you if you choose to exercise any of your rights.

Right to access – you can request copies of any information we hold about you
Right to rectification – If you believe we have any of you details wrong, you can ask us to correct them
Right to Erasure – You can ask us to delete any information we hold about you. This will apply only when we do not have a legal basis to retain that information.
Right to Restrict or Object to Processing – this is controlling exactly what data we hold – you can ask us to stop using certain data or stop carrying out certain processes with your data.
The right to complain to a “Supervisory Authority” – an organisation that oversees Data Protection. This could be the Authority where you live, where you work – or the one for the UK, where we are based, which is the Information Commissioners Office.
