This set consists of Mary, Joseph, Baby Jesus , the Star of Bethlehem, the three wise men and two shepherds.

Many of my customers are beginning a tradition of buying a new Doli Dwt for their nativity set each year. They are building their pieces gradually to make a beautiful heirloom decoration to be enjoyed for years to come.

But if you can’t wait, here’s your opportunity to buy the full set of nativity peg dolls, with a saving of £5 if you bought each piece individually.

Created in my cute and simple style, each piece has been hand drawn, hand burned, hand coloured and hand sealed individually.  As a result, each set has taken days to complete, and is filled with the love and joy that the Christmas season brings.

Mary is wearing a pretty dress decorated with hearts, meanwhile Joseph’s tunic is sprinkled with stars. Baby Jesus is “wrapped” in a simple white cloth bound by a heart.

For 2020, our previous whitewashed star is replaced with a chunky, rustic one, handmade by a fellow small business. It has a beautiful, natural-state wood finish, with each one being different to the next. Bark. wood knots and grain add to their individual beauty and tie in perfectly with the Doli Dwt aesthetic. They stand at approximately 7cm high, and 2 cm deep.

The new stars are pictured below. They may differ from the stars in the product pictures of peg dolls, which were photographed last year.

The Kings are decorated in befitting robes, sashes and scarves of rich jewel tones. These range from turquoise, to oranges and purples and each one has touches of gold, silver or copper.

The shepherds are depicted in simpler cloaks and  waistcoats in rich, earthy browns, reds and greens. A shepherds’ crook in the hand of the adult, and a tiny lamb cradled in the arms of his young assistant, all add beautiful details to these humble visitors to the new born king.

Mary and Joseph, the kings and the adult shepherd are all approximately 9cm tall. The young shepherd is approximately 6cm in height, whilst Baby Jesus is a tiny 2.5cm.
